ATP offers one- and two-day courses in advanced tree rigging (ATR), providing arborists with hands-on experience with this crucial skill. Special tools used in tree rigging are introduced and applied during the course, including a wide range of pulleys plus arborist blocks and the Port-a-Wrap®.

Participants in this course will use this equipment in combination with climbing spurs to remove limbs and whole wood sections. ATP experts will also demonstrate and supervise the usage of good rigging control system (GRCS) as well as the false crotch rigging system for maximum safety during removal of a spar, or branchless trunk segment.

This tree rigging training module is for experienced tree workers only. Participants are required to present proof of relevant treework experience when applying for this course. If your organisation has a job requiring tree rigging, ATP can use it as a real-world example for training your crew.
