ATP’s qualified and experienced instructors offer a full-day advanced rope splicing course that explains the usage of ropes in arboriculture and explores the history and evolution of ropes, knots and splicing.
In this course we discuss the construction of many types of rope used in arboriculture and how to identify their structural differences and similarities. The course instructor will provide hands-on training, giving clear, step-by-step instructions.
Participants will learn how to properly splice 12-strand, 16-strand and double-braid ropes. The course will also examine the different tools used for splicing. Most importantly, this course provides a deep understanding of the strength of rope, how it varies and how rope strength is measured for the safety standards in our industry.
